I chose this hotel out of a very few available in the city. The pictures don't begin to tell the true story. The hotel is bordered on one side by an interstate, one side by a car dealer who begins moving cars in and out early in the morning, one side by the railroad which whistles all night, and the final side by the ghetto. Add to that the fact that the rooms open directly onto the parking lot, which is usually filled with working men and trucks which rev up beginning at 5 am. Even with earplugs, I could hear motorcycles and semis on the highway and people upstairs. The rooms are very basic, not much different from your bargain chains. There is little to recommend this. People I was working with were very concerned that I was staying at this location, as car thefts and vagrants were common in the area. I recommend going the extra 15 miles to find a safer hotel with more to recommend it. Definitely avoid this if you are female traveling alone. On the plus side, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the office staff were efficient. less
