Dear Guest Thank you for your comments. We have changed the car parking in recent months and we do charge a small fee of £5 per day which is around a £20 difference to other parking within the Manchester area hotels car parks. However we will be coming up with a weekly charge which will be cheaper than £35 going forward. Kind regards Damon Yoxall General Manager

Dear Debbie I would like to apologise for the sub standard room you had been allocated earlier on in the month. Firstly I have checked the room in question and have replaced the net curtains where there were 2 cigarette burns, I have also checked the window ledge in the adjoining room to ensure this is cleaned. Unfortunately from time to time we do have weddings in the hotel which do make quite a lot of noise and spoil the enjoyment of the other guests who are trying to get a good night’s sleep. The hotel has been taken over by Hallmark Hotels who are investing in the property and although you may not have seen any of the improvements we have spent a considerable amount of money on areas such as the roof, car park, boilers and showers. We have a planned refurbishment of rooms 22 to 33 in November and this will see a total transformation of these rooms which is long overdue. These rooms are our last let rooms and we only use these if we are full. The room you had been allocated, room 22 is only 1 of 2 rooms in the hotel which sleep 4 guests and this is the reason why you had been allocated this particular room. We do not have a lift as you know and all our 3rd party websites that we work with are informed of this. As you booked through Holiday Extras they are also aware of how far we are from the airport. We do however offer help with luggage and have a store room near reception where we can keep luggage, I do not think that this had been communicated to you by the reception team on arrival and I do apologise for this being the case. Debbie room 22 is certainly not a full reflection of the rest of the hotel and we do not have events on all of the time that would keep our guests awake through the night. I would have preferred if you would have spoke with me direct regarding this so it could have been dealt with before you left the hotel, we could have also looked at maybe moving your room or accommodating you in one of our other hotels as we have one nearer the airport.
