My wife and I stayed here for three nights when we were in town for the Long Beach Marathon. To be honest, for the price, I was happily surprised after comparing it with other hotels in the area. This hotel is right on PCH with close proximity to Seal Beach, Long Beach State, and Belmont Heights. There is plenty of shopping, including a grocery store right across the street to stock the fridge with, but you won't need it because In-N-Out burger is a stone's throw away! Freeway access is a breeze, if you need the 605 or 405, and those will get you anywhere else you want to be. The hotel is a little rough looking on the outside, but our room was well kept and the grounds are very nice. We had a courtyard view from our patio. Parking was easy and though it seems a little sketchy, I was constantly seeing a security guard patrolling in his golf cart so we felt safe. We had breakfast each morning (you get vouchers from the front desk) at the PCH club adjacent to the hotel. It had the normal Best Western fare... waffles, cereals, muffins, hard boiled eggs... but there was plenty of seating and some tables even had a harbor view where if you got up early enough you could watch the sunrise. Our last day we spent at Disneyland, and it is about a 20 minute drive (without traffic) using the carpool lane there. I am all ready planning on staying here again when we visit in February. I think we finally found our go to hotel while visiting family in California! less
