Stayed here over Thanksgiving and the second I pulled into the area I knew this was going to not be a pleasant stay. The building looks ok from the outside, but looks can be deceiving as we all know. Lobby is a bit funky as it is tiny, the breakfast room (unable to use due to COVID) looks like it is in a closet, and there's a narrow doorway to get you to the elevator.
Check in was a bit slow since I had gift cards to use, no issue there though as it's not a common occurrence I'm sure. Elevator was old, sketchy, and the last inspection was long out of date and expired.
Room was the most underwhelming part and why even by Best Western standards this place shouldn't be a Best Western. Loose floor tiles in the bathroom, half of the lights don't work, bugs in the bathroom light, water stains on the ceiling and the curtains, stains inset in the carpet and on the bed (fortunately only one side, so I just slept with a sheet on top and avoided it), furniture with plenty of scuffs and chunks missing. The nicest thing there was the desk chair-that's sad. Pretty much every room faces the freeway at least partially so expect a bit of noise.
Sheets were paper thin, but at least the bed and pillows were ok. Breakfast was a bit disappointing even by COVID standards as there was no milk or fresh fruit, only prepackaged items like breakfast bars. So if you like those, they had literally every single brand and type under the sun there.
Pay a few more bucks and stay at another BW in town, I'm sure it's better than this place. less
