So we booked a travel vacation to San Antonio and we were supposed to be at the Holiday Inn and it was overbooked so they sent us to Best Western Garden Inn. Let's start off with I hate to write bad reviews but this hotel, motel, or dope house whatever you want to call it deserves every bit of it.... We got to our room and it was somewhat clean, and it smelled like a hint of dog poop. I have 3 kids and this was a king size room with a "pull out" couch. LIE. We called and asked if we can switch room and the front desk said it would be a extra $330 to move to a king size room with a pull out couch. Needless to say we didn't pay the extra $330 so the we made pallets out of the blankets we brought and they slept on the floor. We asked the front desk about extra covers and they rudely told us they were out. The hotel has alot of drug activity and sketchy characters walking around so lock your vehicles and dont leave nothing at the hotel if you leave, take all belongings and lock your vehicle at ALL TIMES. The whole area around the hotel is sketchy including the businesses around the hotel. Dont go to the convenient stores around the hotel either. If you are going to your vehicle or going to go anywhere on the property I would strongly suggest you use the buddy system if you can.Im a Combat Veteran of Iraq 3 tours.
