We arrived Friday night, when we got to our room it was covered in white powder (pesticide). The perimeter of the room, the dresser drawers and all furniture was covered. The lady at the front desk looked surprised and said usually if there was a bug issue the room would be out of service but admitted this was bed bug treatment.( she said she was unaware of bugs though of course) she did switch our room but after the 1st rooms appearance the entire weekend was spent praying my family wouldn’t get bed bugs from this place rather then enjoying our weekend away. The front desk staff on Friday and Sat night was not very personable but she was ok. The Sunday morning desk staff snapped at my husband when he went to check out and rudely said “The receipt was under you door for a reason” We never received any receipt under the door and her customer service skills were unprofessional, she then whipped our receipt at him. After our stay I will most like stay clear of any Best Western and 100% will stay away from this one. Usually I don’t base my hotel choice off of the negative reviews but I should have this time. less

Thank you for your feedback. We will address the miscommunication error with the appropriate departments. Any hotel can get bed bugs, as they're simply brought into a hotel in the guest's luggage. It's the hotel's response which is crucial to controlling and eliminating the issue. We use full encasement protectors on our mattresses and box springs, we train our staff to check thoroughly for any signs, and if needed, our exterminator treats the room. We apologize for your experience.
