Rude member of staff

I recently stayed at this hotel and from first appearance it seems a nice little hotel. The receptionist on shift a young chap was very rude and abrupt, stood there like some kind of door bouncer. Definetely not a people person and probably never been shown any form of people skills in his life . Clearly didn’t want myself and my boyfriend to check in at the hotel. Definitely thought he was better than me because he was stood in a suit. And I clearly wasn’t. Or maybe it was my accent he didn’t like, he definitely took an automatic disliking to us for some reason and I had done nothing to recieve such a rude reception. He Even at one point got permission from who I believe must have been the general manager who clearly had no objection to us staying at the hotel. Definitely has put us off using this hotel again. The hotel itself though wasn’t bad. The room was big and clean. The restaurant in the evening is dated and more like a cafe. Ok for breakfast but that’s about it, definitely not somewhere you would go to socialise. In the morning we had a taxi arranged to collect us and the blonde manager on reception was lovely, she called our room to let us know it was there and even went outside to speak with the driver. She was also very lovely When we come down And i had split my trousers and was very nervous about going outside. She suggested I wrap my jumper round my waist which avoided any awkwardness, also commenting how good I looked even in ripped jeans..which definitely made me feel a whole lot better about the situation. just a shame the reception the previous day didn’t have the same social skills. less

I apologise if you fell that the receptionist on duty was rude, having spoke to him, I can assure you that it was not his intention, to be rude and he extends his apologies.
