My husband and I stayed here the night before the eclipse. We had booked a king room with a spa bath well in advance on booking.com. When we arrived we were given an handicapped-accessible king room without the spa bath. We went down to ask to be switched to the room we had paid for, upon which we were told that despite having received the request for the spa bath room from Booking, the hotel reserved us a regular king room. Since they only had smoking rooms left, we agreed to stay in the regular king and the receptionist did eventually give us a discounted rate, to make up for the difference.
This wasn't the biggest disappointment as we were there for one night and she did make it right in the end, however the room smelled SO BAD. This was a no-smoking room, but not only was it surrounded by smoking rooms and the hallway reeked of cigarettes, it was a CONNECTED ROOM (the kind with a door to the adjacent room) which was smoking!! What a stupid idea! We smelled the smoking next door through the night. To make matters worse, they used a disinfectant to mask it that smelled just as bad, if not worse. It was very overpowering and I didn't even want to drink my coffee in there. I aired out the room a bit upon arrival, but there was no screen in the window so I couldn't keep it open all night; bugs flew in immediately.
The bed was fine, the room was clean, and the quality was appropriate for the price, but the smells were just awful and made our stay uncomfortable. We assume that the spa bath rooms would be at the end of the hall, which would have probably made the smoking smell less noticable, so that added to the disappointment.
Really surprised that this hotel is rated so highly; maybe everyone who reviewed smokes. less

Thank you for the feed back . We definitely trying to make all the Rooms smoke free. It will be a process to get rid of all the smoke smell & signage. I personally apologize for the mix up with the room type & any inconvenience it may have caused due to the smoke smell.
