Really wanted to have a nice nights sleep on the last stop on our Western States tour before getting home the next day, ugh - should have driven further to Van Horn or Fort Stockton. Check out was OK, but only given one key (needed two), got that resolved. Had a room on third floor. Room was standard and clean enough, but the bathroom was a completed train wreck. The toilet was a small, round, non comfort height toilet. The flush lever chain was not working properly (I fixed it) and the toiled looked like it came second hand from a truck stop (no disrespect to Truck Stops). Then there was the internet - good grief, we are basically in a suburb of Texas's 5th largest city...what gives. It NEVER worked and the only internet access I had was from the Restaurant we ate at next door, yes it was that good next door. They kept trying to re-set the router, so I'll give the staff credit, but good grief. We had a King Room, but the bed had 4 standard (smaller than standard pillows) it was comfortable enough, but I like to prop my head up due to a medical condition, so this made it a challenge. Couldn't wait to get the heck out of the place in the morning and the only redeeming quality was the morning clerk had opened up breakfast area early (6 instead of 7) so we were able to grab coffee and danish before heading out. less
