Stayed at this hotel recently on route to Scotland.
This is set in wonderful grounds, great countryside views surrounded by 20 acres of perfect scenery. The Hotel was nicely decorated, large bedrooms, clean and tidy. There was tea making facilities in the bedroom, however no bedroom safe, free unlimited Wi-Fi although not available from our bedroom. Absolutely a great location for special events with stunning public rooms.
The door stopper in bathroom was on floor in front of sink, and my wife stubbed her foot on it, consider fitting stopper on back of door. Bath rather deep with high step in, and would be useful to have a grab handle to assist getting out of bath – not very elderly friendly.
The electric socket too far from mirror and e.g. phone chargers do not reach. NO decaf tea available in bedroom or restaurant, so bring your own. If you book room only you can purchase breakfast for £12. It’s a help yourself but you do have to order your items if you wish to have a cooked breakfast.
Having made the above comments, I must say it’s one of the most impressive Hotels I have stayed in and for us really glad we found this and will most certainly be returning. less
