This was a functional trip so I'll try to make this review equally as digestible and 'potted'! I was a woman travelling alone for business and chose somewhere near to Paddington station to make travelling easier. Situated in a leafy street, remarkably quiet given its proximity to Paddington and the main road, the hotel is a fairly unremarkable town house; much of a muchness in the area however it stands apart once you enter the reception area as it is modern, minimalist and clean with attentive and personable staff plus a handy and thoughtful waiting area or 'hub' where you can partake of the free Wi-Fi, hot drinks and a newspaper which is extremely handy when arriving early and waiting for your room to be ready.
It really was an oasis of calm amidst the London bustle and I was mightily impressed by the speed at which they checked me in and allocated my room which, although over priced (I got a deal through Booking.com - would NEVER pay full whack..) did pretty much what it said on the proverbial tin and had a large comfy bed, all mod cons and delightful bathroom plus was exceptionally clean and well laid out. It was a lot smaller than the pictures gave rise to believe, given that it was a King Room which was a small setback but when travelling alone it really wasn't an issue.
I arrived back at the room late in the evening and got a large class of very chilled and remarkably tasty white wine from the bar area in reception then headed back to the room - if I was nitpicking, it was tricky trying to watch the TV which was positioned on a wall 45 degrees away from the bed which meant you couldn't comfortably lie/sit in bed and watch it without craning your neck somewhat but a small price to pay...
The breakfast was continental, adequate and fresh - fairly bog standard. However the piece de resistance was the shower which although fairly unassuming in size, had two options - rainfall and handheld - and they were amazing. Gushing, clean, refreshing and well designed. A real treat.
All in all this is a compact and bijou hotel which is perfectly situated near Paddington and offers peace, cleanliness and mod cons - at a price - but then this is London. One other niggle is that the noise from the tube running under the room (I was on the Lower Ground floor in 003) was disruptive but take your ear plugs and all will be well! less

Being within 5 minutes of Paddington Station made this a good choice for easily getting the Heathrow Express back to Heathrow Airport. The hotel was typical of London, tiny rooms and fairly expensive, but it was favorable in that they were trying very hard to be conscientious about energy usage. The light fixtures would automatically dim or turn off if you weren't careful to touch the pads correctly. At check-in, we were asked if we would like a daily newspaper, and I assumed it would be free of charge as it had been at the other hotels on our trip, but I was charged for it upon departure. I thought that was tacky. less

Stayed here twice now. As a Diamond member on my first night i got lucky and had a upgrade to a deluxe double which was perfectly ok but then I got moved to a 'cosy single' which is what I had booked. I have had bigger cabins on north sea ferries! Everything was clean and working so I can't moan but it was tiny tiny. My en suite at home, actually my wardrobe is bigger.
The bathroom was a fine example of maxing available space so you could use the w/c, basin and shower al at the same time with some thought. If you bring cases you will need to give some thought to where you are going to put them. The room is so small there isn't space for a bedside table so they have created an alcove/shelf by cutting into the wall.
If you need to be in this part of London this is probably good value but beware of the capsule sized room you may get as a result. less
