This is a mostly above-average Best Western (which BTW is our go-to chain for road trips) that borders on Plus status. It is a large Best Western, with four sides of building surrounding a grassy central area with a very nice pool. The breakfast was excellent – an extensive buffet, kept well stocked, as good as most breakfasts one has to pay for, and better than some. Unlike some reviewers, our room carpet and furnishings were in good condition and of perfectly acceptable quality (hint: after all, this is not a Four Seasons). There is an on-site full-service restaurant which, although we did not use it, looked to be locally popular, and we consider its presence to be a plus (bad weather, late check-in, etc.).
Two things keep us from awarding 5 stars:
1. Check-in could have gone better. It actually is a bit hard to find. More to the point, the young man at the counter was rather surly, not at all welcoming.
2. Although just fine in every other way, our room did have a slightly musty odor. Had it perhaps not been occupied for awhile?
Would we recommend to friends / family? Yes.
Would we stay again? Yes. less
