Hurricane Irma hit the Florida Keys 30 days ago. When it moved up to the coast is was at that point a Tropical Storm and was not any serious threat to Crystal River, we live in Florida and where here when the storm came by. The front desk staff is instructed to tell all guest when checking in that there is no internet in the rooms because of the Hurricane that took place which was a month ago. Crystal River was not struck by a hurricane. We drove all around the town and there where no damaged buildings and everything was fine and dandy in the area. The staff members should stop making up excuses and management needs to call their Internet provider and get the job done and fix it. It does not take a month to get the internet back on in a area that was not struck by a hurricane. This hotel is clearly just making up a story about why they are not providing the internet service they advertise they have. The hotel should be honest that they do not provide internet service in the rooms and that customer must come to the lobby with a laptop or wait to use the computer in the lobby. Also you must call the front desk from your phone in your room and ask them to set up your phone so you can make an outside call.. In addition they have one HBO station and you will need to call the front desk so that they can activate you TV so that you can get the HBO station. They also give you a breakfast ticket for each day and each person in your room, you are told by front desk staff if you lose your ticket you will need to pay 10 dollars for your breakfast each day and for each person if you want to eat breakfast. They have an employee at a podium that guards the door into the breakfast room and takes your tickets. The hotel is OK for a day or two if you are going to rent a boat, or pay a service to take you out to swim with manatee's. It is not a place to come for a week long vacation, there is not much around the area to do. The small pool was clouding and not clean during our stay and the BBQ grills by the pool where very gross and had not been cleaned since they where installed and not usable. The rooms are clean enough and not worn out as they have been updated a few years ago. Not a great vacation area just a place to stay if trying to swim with the manatee's and it is on your bucket list. less

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations.
We are very grateful that our new equipment arrived on Monday and was programed and installed by Tuesday. Although our building did not flood or blow away we did have damage to our internet/phone equipment closet. I am sorry that you do not believe that.
