I have been here a few times before & got a great price by ringing hotel direct & being a BW loyality card holder its worth signing up.I was upgrade to a family exc room 350 which I have stayed in before. Its a huge room, huge bed which was comfy. It has coffee maker, but don't drink coffee,(hot choc pods next time please), but asked for lots of tea & milk, bis, 2 bottles of water, safe inside the cupboard, with robe & slippers.trouser press, ironing board & iron. Lovely smellies, plenty of towels, asked for bath mat for inside the bath which was there, plenty of hot water, sadly the bathroom is cold, but does have a heater put it on for a while before you need to go in. There is a rad under the window, but electric heater on the wall as you go in, leave your extra key card in to keep the room warm as I went after Xmas as it was cold.TV on the wall, but little too small for the room as bed quite a way back from the bed as TV opposite bed. The only thing I would suggest is to make the rooms sound proof.....
I was checked in by Emma as rung up the day before for an early check in, but only arrived at 2pm as the weather was really bad from the south & heavy traffic.
I got a warm welcome back from Andrea, Emma C, Liz who had pink hair not blonde!!! Alex on the front desk, Philip who I made the booking with wasn't there.
Breakfast was in the Townfields Restaurant & got a lovely warm welcome back from Nico, Karen, Kaisa, Jacob & chiefs who did done my egg perfect are Rob, Baz & Nigel. Its self service for hot/cold & eggs done how you like it mine fried eggs turned over & very hard. Tea/ coffee comes to your table. Plenty of choice fruit juices, fruit, pastries, toast, cereals,. jams, butter. The new waitress Tsvetelina. Sadly missed Bev as she was in Spain on her hols.
I eat in the Townfield bar & was served by Kalin & had Breaded Scampi & chips with apple juice, very yummy indeed. It was busy as people were eating & drinking in the bar as it had Sky sports on which helps.
I had 2 college friends come over with their husbands for lunch it was the day the snow came just before New Year & they made it. It was lovely to see them all, had a wonderful lunch in the restaurant which wasn't open, but let us be there as so much quieter. We had 3 hen omelette with mushroom & bacon, 2 beef lasagne, Beer battered cod & 3 hen omelette cheese & bacon. Drinks bitter shandy, larger, orange juice, jug of tap water. No puddings, but had white coffee, black coffee, 2 Americanos, hot choc. All in all we had a wonderful very yummy lunch by all. We had drinks before lunch & after just soft ones. It was all very well priced. I just put it on my room as left a tab open when I check in, so much easier all round. Thanks to Jaden at the bar for all his hard work with couple of helpers.
Free wifii, beauty treatments, but didn't use.
Plenty of free parking even with parties going on, but didn't hear them & parking for the airport too.
Congrats to Scott for being the General Manager of the hotel.

Thank you to you all for making my stay perfect.
Happy 2018..... less
