This Best Western has a good location in downtown. If you're lucky enough to get one of the upper floors, then you will have a great view of the bayfront and the boat marina. I had a decent enough room (the crew is remodeling the place), but you'd best be careful opening the balcony door and try not to trip on the panel underneath. The shower I had on the ninth floor was a little weak and didn't have many spritz options. Upon my check-in, the receptionist helping me was supposed to give me an option of points or a snack. I wasn't even prepared for it. She never let me have time to think or make a choice, and I would have rather had the points, but instead, I had snack options forced on me, thus denying me any opportunity for more reward points. Guess she wanted to just blow it by me and not wanting me to get points. Otherwise, the front staff were courteous. Also, there were issues with the flatbed dolly, which, for some reason, you had to get permission to use one. That's also because this hotel has small elevators. It's a 1960s-era constructed hotel, but has since been modernized. Here's a tip: Don't bring too many bags with you. This place does not really have dollies per se.
So, here's the word for you: As soon as this place gets renovated in the spring of 2017, you can come out here. The views are great, and anything you need is not very far away. You'll get a good night's sleep, as well. Until this place builds bigger elevators, just bring a light load with you. less
