Damp room, personable service, nice breakfast

I'm one who generally writes a review on places (restaurants and hotels) that we've particularly enjoyed. This one is mixed... the breakfast was very good, with the kitchen staff giving attention to ... more

Please accept my sincere apologies for not being able to meet your expectations. As you mentioned, the staff surely takes pride in their duties and it is extremely sad to hear that your experience was less than perfect. As you noticed, we had replaced carpet with hard surface flooring and it has eliminated allergens and dampness that a carpeted room may hold. I wish you would have allowed an opportunity for us to help while you were at the hotel, especially when you stayed for 2 nights. We would have gladly offered another room even if it was in the middle of the night. There is absolutely no reason one should have to sleep in the vehicle when staying at a hotel. Nothing is more important to us then to deliver a good nights rest to each and every one of our guest.

Highly recommended!

Dear Sir As you would agree, from the moment any of the hotel staff became aware of the small incident, we have done nothing but to sincerely apologize to you at every opportunity we had. In fact, I am extending yet another sincere apologiy for that mistake. Upon your departure from the hotel several weeks ago, I have received at least 6 emails from you. YES, I have responded to your emails in a very professional manner. In the last 6 email messages, you have agreed that you could/should have engaged the privacy lock on the door, or utilized the “Do not disturb” signs. Of course, the staff knows to knock on the door before opening, however, it was almost 11AM and majority guests had departed (the reason you saw the doors open)... the housekeeper made an assumption that your room may be empty as well (he never entered your room, he was outside in the walkway). The staff went thru a training again and we have stepped up our services. The Front Desk Manager issued a credit immediately and also offered a late check out so that you can relax before traveling. I take any incident at my hotel seriously and utilize it as a learning process. I certainly would have offered a FREE NIGHT, as I am totally dedicated towards customer services, HOWEVER, your email messages were outlined as a THREAT in order to extort more money from me. If I didn’t believe in customer privacy, I would have “copy/pasted” your messages for the entire world to read. It is against my business ethics to give in to a THREAT to avoid one negative review. I am sure that the readers would agree with me that a business can not be conducted while feeling imprisoned by a social media threat!
