There is absolutely no amount of money that would make me stay there! I actually moved hotels. I lost over $290 by booking that hotel room on Expedia..... I will never book with them again, as the Best Western at Cocoa Beach where we were supposed to be told us that we were not the first people that got put at Cocoa Inn, instead of their property..... there is nothing at this location except a truck stop and a Dunkin Donuts across the street. Very sketchy area... right on 95 - we had no vehicle, Ubered from airport so had to walk, did not feel safe at all. We went into room for a few minutes before we decided to move and the perfume smell of cleaner, air freshener was so overpowering, I couldn't imagine what it was covering up. we had to keep door open to breathe. To top off, either a real drunk guy or strung out on drugs walked by our door and was standing around by the pool area..... we just were not comfortable at all. Would never recommend to a women by herself! less

Dear Margaret Baxter,
Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property.
Your business is very important to us and we value your feedback. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future. We hope you will come back and see us again soon.
Reservation was made on 12/3, that's over 10 days to investigate the area or at least read the whole website which explains the surrounding area. We are sorry that you missed the IHOP next to the Dunkin Doughnuts, the Subway which is inside the Pilot gas station and there is the Waffle House next to that. A mile down the road there is also a Wendy's, Mc Donalds and Burger King, along with Grandpa's Steakhouse, Kay's BBQ and a few other mom and pop restaurants. If you were feeling adventurous you could have driven the short 5 miles to what I call restaurant row which has more of the name brand chain restaurants. Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Tijuana Flats etc etc.
What is it about the area that makes one think. "Not safe for a woman alone for sure!!!!"? We are curious though, if you were alone what is with the usage of "WE"?
They would not give us even a partial refund.
You used an on-line travel agency. To get any sort of refund for using a room and then deciding not to stay you would have to actually take it up with them.
The fine print strikes again.
AND YOUR response was..
We, my husband and I, were there. We did book through an online agency and booked what we thought through the agency- Expedia- that we were booking the Cocoa Beach Best Western property. I even called in to make sure we were at the right place and it was non smoking and it was still done incorrectly..... your listing should not come up under Cocoa Beach. Do not worry, I am filing a complaint with Expedia as well.... I know I will not get my money back, but something needs to be done to separate these hotels online.... The hotel desk at Cocoa Beach Best Western told us that we definitely were not the only ones that this has happened to.
Your list of available eats is not a dinner selection that is on our list when walking to locations for meals... we did not have a car as we thought we were at other hotel and Ubered from airport, and were planning on shuttle from airport to cruise boat- as I did research the hotel I thought we had reserved.
We were there just shortly after our cancellation time and if your hotel staff had wanted to make it right they could have. The booking mistake was obviously mine via Expedia at wrong hotel.
Anyone else see what is goin on here?
Those non-cancel-able reservations really aren't worth it sometimes. And Please ... investigate the area around before you go anywhere. With as much information Google makes available, it really isn't all that difficult anymore.
The property does come up under Cocoa Beach but only after turning the page about 4 times.
Please make sure you are absolutely making the right reservation before clicking that final OK in these Online Websites. The fine is very fine but it is there.
