And that's about the only positive. The room was dirty and outdated. The tv only worked when it wanted to. Mosquitoes everywhere - we must have killed at least 5 in the 1st hour we were there and never stopped seeing them flying around the room. We've stayed here before and had a completely different experience so, with my previous experience in mind, I asked if we could switch rooms. They had to send a maintenance guy to the room first to determine if our complaints were legit but since he didn't believe they were, I was told there wasn't anything they could do.
Our room keys stopped working that same night. The clerk even had a hard time getting our door open and said the battery needed replacing and they'd take care of it the next day. The next day came, and out of 5 room keys, the maintenance guy got 1 to work and therefore decided the battery was fine. As soon as he left, that same key didn't work and I had to get him back to the room.
The BW website, and the tv in the hotel lobby, show the rooms being thoroughly sanitized with Covid precautions being taken. With the exception of wearing a mask, none of those claimed precautions are actually being taken at this location. Actually, our room stunk and smelled sour after housekeeping "cleaned" it.
In fairness, I will say, I was given a small discount for 1 night and they came by our room once (while we were out for the day) to offer a different room but since we weren't there the offer was no longer valid.
We will not be staying here again. less
