We attended a family wedding reception at this pretty well located hotel. It was a busy busy venue, lots of functions taking place and a lot of people. The staff at meet and greet were very good, and they did their best to keep things going smoothly. The function room was located in a nice area, and was well presented. The 3 course meal was ok, at the rates they charge it should be! Starters were served and cleared, main course was lamb, the knives were blunt, and most people unable to cut and then eat the meat. BUT... when the staff came to clear away, our waiting staff placed one plate on top of another in front of each guest, with a total of 10 dirty plates in front of the last guest, and each lump of meat, he removed with his hands and placed onto the top plate!
When it came to teas and coffee... one cup was placed on our table and we never saw the tea or coffee.. and when we requested where it was, they said, oh, been and gone... we then asked to have some, one more cup and saucer was placed on the table.. no spoons, and then 10 minutes later the beverages were brought out, and said waiter proceed to place his nose onto the spout to determine what it was he was pooring, the spoons never arrived.... Considering what was paid per head, I think this was a very big let down, both for the guests concerned and the hotel..
Overall we had a great day, but this was not really acceptable from a hotel of this calibre. less

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and the wedding but am sorry for the confusion with the tea and coffee service to your table during the wedding breakfast. I will ensure this feedback is shared with our Conference & Banqueting Manager so he can discuss this with his team.
