We needed a hotel to the west of Norwich and this one seemed fine. Just as you are doing now, I read the TripAdvisor comments and found that there were mixed reviews.
The reception team gave us a warm welcome and throughout our one-night stay they couldn't do enough for us!
Our room, the 215 suite, was fine: a large room with a large bed, sofa, arm chair, side table and coffee table. There were coffee/tea facilities in the room.
The bathroom was one of the largest that we have ever been in! Fab shower.
Downsides of the room: I wanted to read the papers at the coffee table but my wife wanted to sleep but the main lights needed to be on throughout the room ---- oh for a switch to illuminate just those lights in the seating area.
The towels were rather tired and small. I do need to diet ----but not that much!
As for the food... well, the staff were 5*, the suite 3*+ but the food 2*. For an extra £10 per head, the kitchen staff could afford better ingredients.
Would we stay again? If need be ----but we'd go out to eat unless the ingredients were improved.
One more 'Hurrah' for the hard working and dedicated staff! You were great! less
