• Tub wasn’t a big whirlpool tub like we thought, the website should have photos of the bathroom so we can tell
Check-in with Marisela was quick and easy. She was friendly and efficient. I spend nearly 10% of the year in hotels and I meet a lot of employees from different brands. She’s top 10 (that’s saying A LOT!)
Got to the room, it was small to medium sized for a suite but the bed was comfy and everything was in working order.
Found a nearby place for takeout via yelp and settled in for sleep after dinner.
I woke up to the sound of doors slamming at midnight, 5am, and again at 8am.
I could hear housekeeping vacuuming in the room next door just after 10am... while I understand they have a job to do and rooms must be turned around in time for new guests, if your hotel has walls thin enough to hear everything going on in the next room: maybe wait until checkout in case the guest next door is sleeping in? (Or trying to because their sleep has been interrupted a handful of times through the night)
Bertha at checkout was just as awesome as Marisela from the evening before, she had my receipt emailed to me pretty much by the time I got to my car. Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and I wish I could give more stars, but the point of sleeping at a hotel instead of touching it out and driving home is to get some sleep and I did not get a good night of sleep here.
Maybe other rooms are different, but I would never stay in room 101 again just for the noise factor. less
