Best Western Braeside Rotorua

Great location on outskirts of Rotorua, ideal if you have a car, free allocated parking. Close to skyline gondola, mini golf, rainbow springs nature park (all within5 minutes walk). Staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, well equipped and spacious with comfy beds and decent sized bathroom. Our kids loved the grounds, gardens with trout stream and mini golf (you can borrow clubs and ball for free), trampoline, small play area. Would Definitely recommend. less

My daughter and I spent one night here on a visit to Rotorua. We called ahead with late notice and were advised they had a 2 bedroom unit available. The lady on the phone was very helpful and held the room for us. When we arrived we were greeted wonderfully warmly, using my daughter's name, (she had called) The room was pleasant, clean, very comfy beds, plenty of TV channels. It is just across the road from mini golf and the luge and chairlift, perfect location. When we checked out the next day, we were treated equally warmly, just wonderful old fashioned friendly service, a rare thing these days. Highly recommended Rod and Aimee less

Lovely clean room. Nice and big. Comfy bed. Good internet. Great kitchen. Milk, tea, and kettle provided. easy to get to. we would definitely stay here again. While we were here enjoyed the night time walk in the redwoods trees. less

Pros: Friendly service, spacious room, ok breakfast, quiet. Cons: This is a motel style hotel although it was not advertized as such. So, you rather see the cars of the other guests than the garden on the website. It is not recommendable in cold weather as the rooms are all ground floor and mine was damp and cold. The breakfast which is served in the room does not come with hot beverages, you have to prepare your morning tea or coffee yourself. If you have no car you have to rely on the quite unpunctual bus service which ends service on 18.00. less

Great location in Rotorua, just off the main highway but not close enough to hear it. Staff was incredibly friendly and helped with recommendations for how to spend our day (including some coupons) and where to do some shopping. They even gave us a larger room because one was available and we have a large family. Wish we could have tried the onsite restaurant (which smelled great!) and spent more time here, but we were just passing through. Reminded me of what great roadside motels in the US used to be like! less
