I Stayed here for a friends wedding, though the wedding was well organised and the wedding venue itself was nice the accommodation was not. We left the wedding party to check into our rooms we dropped our bags in and went straight back to the wedding function.
It wasn't till the next morning we saw the true condition of the room in more detail. The room smelt musty and was far from clean. Given we have been enduring a lockdown where hygiene is crucial it was clear the rooms were not fit for purpose.
Damaged walls, Dirty carpets, cheap and cheerful furniture but more importantly heavy mould around the shower area and random bits of plastic glued to the side of the bath to a poor standard. I'm also confident in saying that the measures behind the bar were somewhat questionable, after a day of socialising and purchasing drinks at the bar myself and a number of other wedding attendees were all in agreement that the drinks lacked alcohol. Since my stay I have contacted the Best Western group customer services who claim they have failed to make contact with the relevant department of the hotel offering me a £50 voucher to be used in any of their hotel, after paying £171 for two double rooms in neglected condition. Such simple low cost fixes have not been carried out.
It would seem room quality control or group communication simply doesn't exist.
I would strongly advise against staying here when there are nicer hotels nearby less
