I dont normally write these reviews, but since no one has done for this place, I will give my thoughts. The front desk told me the hotel opened in July of 2017, so pretty new. Lobby was clean and staff friendly.
I stayed in the "Hollywood" room, not quite sure why it is called that, but it clean and looked nice. on the hotels website this was called a suite, but is really nothing more than a standard size room, not what you expect from a suite. It is advertised as having a king size bed, but in reality is two full size pushed together, which makes for a hard uncomfortable seam in the center of the bed, so pick one side or the other. The room was facing the street, so i expected some street noise, but they could have done a better job of sound reduction. it almost made no difference if the windows were open or closed, the sound was loud. I had a problem with the fridge, it didnt work - i asked housekeeping to look at it and then told the front desk - i was there for a week and never got fixed.
The bathroom was fine, nothing special, but clean. My only issue was when you took a shower, the water was either very hot or very cold, couldn't get it to be warm. ended up having to wash up in the transition from hot to cold - wasted alot of water on that.
The internet WiFi worked well :)
The free Bfast was minimal, but after two days, I was doing bfast at McDo's next door.
one day they left a note that they were going to test the generator during a six-hour window, no problem. The next morning, a note was pushed under the door they were going to "test" it again. I asked why are they testing the system now, shouldn't that have been tested 3 months ago before the hotel opened? sorry sir... when the power was shut off for the second day of "testing" the lobby was cool with aircon - while paying guests suffered. The day after the second "test" at about 4am, there was a brown out, all power was out in the area and the generator that was worked on for two days didn't work - i woke up sweating.
while this hotel is much easier for me then fighting for traffic in MNL, having a warm shower and better food options means i will go back to to my regular place -CP in Ortigas. The price i paid for my room here is the same as CP, so i dont feel this was the best value.
Overall, not a bad place to stay, but makes you long for somewhere else less
