Arrived late on a Friday and was greeted by a nice guy who sort of directed us to our room, room 35...but there was no room 35 as it was named "chesters" My wife went in the lift which was very small and creaked a lot, the room upon entering smelt clean with modern furniture but the fixtures were dated with the bathroom being fitted out in gold taps etc. I could not fault them on the cleanliness though with the only dust found was on top of the wardrobe!
Breakfast were a range of fruit segments (obviously from a tin) branded selection of cereals, warm pastries, selection of fresh fruit, choices of juice drinks. when we sat at the well presented table we were asked if we would like a coffee/tea by the staff.
After eating any buffet type breakfast we were asked if we would like a cooked breakfast, a choice was available, this was brought to the table quite quickly, although the portion sizes were small it was quality products.
We never had a evening meal as we were out all day and went out in the evening.
Overall the hotel was good, I have stayed in worst hotels in the past, the place was clean and staff were very pleasant and helpful, checkout took seconds.
On the downside the room we stayed in was on the top floor overlooking the church courtyard and above what all I can say seem to be the kitchen with the ventilation running all night.
The only other issue was the cold water tap which seemed to trickle if other guests were using water at the same time, and having to run the hot tap some time before the water runs warm. less
