Not bad, but for the price seemed just ok for what we got. I think there were a lot of goings on here that weekend because when I first checked the rates here a month or so out they were a lot less (should have booked then!); then when I came back to book the prices jumped like $75 a night! Ouch!
The first morning hubby didn't have much breakfast selection around 7:30 or so. He probably got there at the wrong time, but still, it would be nice to have more choices of the things offered. The second morning there was more selection, although it was just standard fare. Which is fine, as I don't expect gourmet dining, just give me some decent tasting carbs and protein and some OJ. And it was decent. Eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, waffles, pastries, toast, etc.
The room was okay. It was a larger sized room and was handicapped accessible for some reason. I don't remember reserving that but it may have been what they had. We did get early check in which was nice, as I was there for a race. The AC was fine but when it shut off it got stuffy, but if you left it running it didn't cool it down. It was ok the first night, but the night after the race, I just couldn't cool down and the AC wasn't helping.
The people were friendly, but the first day the lobby smelled like a toilet.I mean seriously; I guess the bathroom stopped up or something? It was pretty bad, but was gone later in the day thank goodness.
It wasn't terrible, and I would certainly stay again; I actually have a room booked for the race next year already, so will let you know how it is then! less
