We stayed for one Saturday night recently. Arrived at 17.30 & could tell from a nearly full car park & the night DJ unpacking his disco gear that it would be a busy hotel as there was a wedding reception.
That said we had a quick & efficient check in & having requested a "quiet room" were not surprised that it was a bit of a trek along corridors with 2/3 steps, but not a problem for us. The room was a very pleasant surprise, having read previous reviews, it had been recently renovated to a good standard, with a large bathroom. Yes we also had difficulty's getting a safe water temperature from the shower. The big plus was that it was indeed a quiet room.
We had chosen this hotel for its central location as we wanted to have a night out in Banbury so we cannot comment on the hotels evening meals. we did have breakfast, there was a good choice of juices, cereals, yoghurts, full English to fish all of good quality. We would like to thank all of your hard working & pleasant staff for an enjoyable stay. less
