Best Western Banbury House Hotel

I have stayed at Best Western Banbury House Hotel one night almost every week since March 2020 and I have received excellent service every time. The staff is always very kind, polite and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and always very clean. I would recommend this hotel 100% and for the price, its an absolute win win less

Stayed here for work. Unfortunately I don't how far this hotel is from the city centre or train station. The original room was on the far side of the hotel. It felt quite far from reception. The room was okay, not enough charging ports and quite an old looking room. There was no Wi-Fi in this room which wasn't good. Reception did offer to set me up in the foyer, however I shouldn't have to. Thankfully, a member of staff moved me closer to reception which improved the Wi-Fi signal slightly but it did keep dropping out. The food menu was basic so had to order takeaway. Breakfast was in a bag due to 'Covid' crisis. I would only stay here for work but suggest a room as close as possible to the reception for better WiFi signal. less

Just stayed here for 2 nights with the main objective to travel into Oxford for a couple of days. The car park was virtually empty and we did only see another couple of people at the hotel, we had Room Only offer so cannot comment on what was offered for breakfast. We had Room 134, quite a walk away from the reception and no Wi-fi could reach that part......the hotel and Room was clean and all Covid rules were being implemented. Just a 5 minute stroll into Banbury and around 15 minutes walk to the Railway Station..so suited us fine. Would recommend if you needed to stay in this area. less

Spent last weekend at this hotel and it was really good, despite the required controls they have managed to enable people to still relax and feel safe at the same time. Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean... Add to that quite inexpensive.. if down that way for a time , you'd do no wrong checking in here ...Staff to are all very helpful , polite and give great quality service less

We visited first day general public were allowed so were warned about food not being available in the restaurant so we got a pizza takeaway to the room but it was a shame that the room was a little depressing just in terms of decor and need for a lick of paint! They made a good effort with the breakfast which was only available as a cold continental breakfast in a bag (could have gone with a firmer bowl!) Main issue was the tiredness of the room, flat pillows and damp smelling hallway (not room) but rest of hotel might not be like that. Staff were very friendly. Easy walk to Banbury. less
