I haven’t checked out yet, but after 4 days the picture is very clear! Something is deeply wrong with this place- I guess It’s very bad management. The breakfast has been consistently lacking. First day almost everything was ‘sold out’ by 9 am and the staff was constantly behind scedule so the buffet ran empty of plates, eggs, spoons, coffee, cups, bread etc. Second day we couldn’t make waffles, because they didn’t have any doe- again the staff was totally out of touch with the situation. The third day the breakfast should be open by 7 am, but when we arrived 7.15 and the buffet wasn’t ready at all. Only juice was available. At this point there are no excusions. We were on a scedule, because we were going on a trip early that morning- and we nearly didn’t have any breakfast, despite we (on paper) had almost an hour to eat, before our trip. This morning the mood at the breakfast was tense. Some lady in a training/running suit (owner? Some kind of boss(?) showed up at the breakfast, aggressively throwing boxes around and making loud angry sighs whenever flaws were found and the breakfast staffer seemed cringing and nervous.
Sadly It’s exactly the same experience when it comes to the cleaning. I have travelled around in most parts of Canada and have stayed in both hotels and motels. The cleaning can’t even compete with the poorest motel we have visited. The floor hasn’t been cleaned since we arrived, the beds have been made 1,5 times. 1,5 times because today we came back from a 12 hour long trip, to just one made bed instead of two. A note on my bed stated, that the other bed couldn’t be made, because of belongings. The belongings was 5 teddybears. Clearly this wasn’t the real reason. They were too lazy to change the sheets, because my child accidently wetted the bed. This was very obvious, since I had pulled the cover aside, to make the situation appearent to the cleaning staff. It was! The cleaning staff had bothered themselves to cover the stain back up with the cover- I guess to be able to say, that the didn’t see the stain. I’m furious! We have paid for a room, for breakfast, for cleaning. We’ve got a baking hot room with no aircondition, poorly constantly sold out breakfast and get to change hour sheets ourselves.
I dont get how this circus of laziness are allowed to be a Best Western?! This is the worst managed place I have experienced at a hotel ever!
