I enjoyed both of my visits to this Best Western. It is one of the only hotels in the area that accepts pets, which is a must since I travel with my two German shepherds.
Both rooms I stayed in were clean and comfortable, and although dated, were in good repair and quite roomy. Water pressure in the showers is awesome, and the shower heads work great for tall people. The first room I stayed in had super hot water, which was great. The second time I stayed in a different room, which had a different faucet fixture that sort of limited the hot water. The rooms were quiet, even on the freeway side. The only downside was the bright security light outside the door--I was very grateful that the grounds are well-lit at night, but I had to use blankets to further block out the light coming in around the curtains (sensitive to light when trying to sleep).
The staff was friendly, helpful, and hardworking. Great service, and very accommodating. When there was an issue with another patron's two dogs running loose through the parking lot and outdoor halls, they took care of it immediately and thoughtfully.
GROUNDS and LOCATION
The grounds are well-tended with pretty landscaping, and well-lit at night. What I liked best was the large grassy pet areas they have available for patrons. Plenty of room to walk both of my large dogs, and easy access to trash bins and poop baggies for clean up (and yet still some patrons refused to clean up after their dogs...Why, Why, WHY?). Easy access to both Hwy 101 and Hwy 299, and there's a Jitter Bean coffee drive through right across the street if you want some good coffee or something fancier than just a cup of Joe (I recommend their Black and White Mocha).
Breakfast was good, although a little low on protein choices. Breakfast fare of make-your-own waffles, bagels, English muffins, cinnamon rolls/pastries, bread for toast, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, yogurts, coffee/tea/cocoa. There were hard-boiled eggs and string cheese for protein options, plus peanut butter and cream cheese.
Overall, enjoyed my stay, and I would stay there again. Thank you for continuing to allow dogs! This is much appreciated. And what a wonderful staff! less
