This is a great example of a hotel being perfectly clean, and nice, without being spectacular. There's nothing I can fault them on, I just wasn't writing home about anything either. The only real issue was how understaffed they were, which is a post-pandemic problem we see everywhere.
I'd happily stay here again, and as it was we extended our stay all week. It's easy to get around from, great cafes nearby and a short stroll to the water where a wine on the banks is just devine.
If you are going to be working, the wifi was fine but it does dropout for about 5 seconds every 20 minutes. It can be annoying, but I was able to work just fine.
Hotel breakfast is an English style. Lots of bacon, but go the boiled eggs. The scrambled must be made of powder or something as they were devoid of taste. Coffee is unlimited at breakfast and that's important.
Would I stay again? Yes certainly. less
