By far this is the 1st time experience in my 10 yrs of travel experience of being levied with a charge of INR 100/- (minimum) for ordering Utensils (plate, spoon & a fork). So I was advised to at least order either a bottle of 'packaged drinking water' or a plate of 'green salad' to have the required utensils delivered to my room. This is completely shocking as I have never experienced such rude etiquette elsewhere in any hotel stay for the last 10 years (trust me I have stayed in all categories). I voiced my disgust opinion to the one I spoke over phone (without any positive result though), & I can assure that neither me nor would I let anyone of my known people come & stay here at the 'Best Western' hotel in Vadodara - turned out to be 'Worst Western' (God knows what is so 'Western' about it!).
The other 'pain at the wrong place for the smokers' - this hotel is a 100% non-smoking hotel, so if you're a smoker, please avoid your stay at this hotel. Don't understand this - Yes, I am a smoker and I am completely aware of the side effects that this habit has yet I choose to be a smoker for my own individual pleasure or choice. I do not intend to cause any discomfort to anyone who does not smoke either, however, during travel (work/leisure), I do not accept such discrimination whereby there is NO 'Smoking Room.' Well, hello, I am spending as much as a non-smoker is - and yet during my personal stay at the hotel room, there should be some kind of provision for me to smoke. less
