Booked a Sunday night August Bank Holiday for the Liverpool Music festival through Booking.com....at £44 b&b I thought it was a great bargain, however I was really disspointed, Booking.com stated in the email that check in was from 2pm, we arrived approximately 2:30 and the room wasn't ready, we were informed that the check in time had been changed to 3pm... This would've been nice to know beforehand... We left out bags in the car and headed off to the festival. On return later on, once in the room I went to draw the curtains and one..very heavy one fell off... I tried to call reception and the phone in our room was disconnected! I got the lif to reception and informed the receptionist about the curtain, she informed me that someone would come and have a look... 10 minutes passed... I went back up to reception , no one there, I had to wait 5 minutes before anyone appeared! I told her that no one had been to our room...again she said she'd "get on to it" a couple of minutes after I returned to our room a man came...he was very nice and jolly and offered us a free drink once he'd struggled with the curtain, my husband had the drink.. I declined. Got up the next morning, opened the curtains, curtain dropped on the floor!!!! Didn't have the breakfast.. We just wanted to go home. Upstairs the hotel was very busy with a wedding... We felt like servants downstairs ... I know this was a cheap deal but Fawlty Towers has more class less

Our maintenance team have fixed the issue you had with the curtain rail in the room.
Please accept my apologies that it could be addressed fully on the night of your stay. Ideally, we would like to resolve any issues promptly, yet as you can appreciate the hotel was busy at the time.
