My daughters were flying in from Portland, OR, arriving late. Booked this because it was close to the airport. I arrived about 5:30 p.m. My daughters landed at 9:00 p.m. At 10:30 p.m. I got a call from my daughter, "where's the shuttle?" At the front desk, I was told that although the shuttle goes to the airport every 20 minutes, you need a reservation. Would I like to ride the shuttle to pick them up? Sure, so I hopped in. It was Dec 24, so the traffic lines were horrendous. The shuttle driver was friendly (toward me). She took a call, asking her to pick up a couple more people.
When we got to the agreed-upon terminal/door, my daughters were there, along with 7 more expecting a ride. They all rushed on, and my daughters were told by the driver, "you can't get on, you didn't have a reservation." Huh? They were dead tired, and had no fight left, but I insisted that they needed to board. I think the driver figured that my kids were already on the shuttle, but there was no need at all for her rudeness.
As for the room, we were on the side near I-10. All night long, it was nearly impossible to sleep due to the freeway noise and the airport noise. It was LOUD!
The room was clean but very dated. Electrical outlets were unusable because they were worn out to the point that nothing would stay connected. Looking up at the wall (with my back to the lavatory sink) the drywall was completely unfinished.
I took this room because the ratings for the nearby Days Inn were so miserably low (comments about bed bugs!). I can't help but think I might have been better staying at Days Inn.
I thoroughly dislike BW bedding. Why am I consigned to being allowed ONLY a thick, hot down comforter and nothing lighter on the bed, winter or summer? The only way to sleep with such heaving bedding is to turn the A/C on its coldest setting, even in winter. What a waste of energy. less

We're very sorry that we could not provide you with a satisfactory stay. I've spoken to my driver on duty for the date in question and she informed me that there were two other people who were not signed up for our shuttle who were trying to board. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience when informing them that they did not have a reservation. She stated that since you accompanied her to the airport she has your daughters seats reserved already. Additionally all of our guest rooms have triple sheeting bedding with a throw duvet on the top of the bed. The sheeting can be pulled back and you will find a white down comforter below. Please know that our front desk staff is always available to assist our guests with any concerns and to the best of our ability provide a solution if your accommodations are not satisfactory to you. It is our hope that we can have another opportunity to better serve you the next time you visit Phoenix.
