We chose to stay here to avoid Boston central prices, & thought a riverside view would be a nice addition to the days we spent here book-ending a trip elsewhere in the USA.
Hotel was easy to get to - they offer a shuttle from Logan, which you can get by using one of the courtesy phones in arrivals (the process is not hugely clear when booking, especially for international guests!). The staff are all very friendly; the Adams pub, within the hotel, did decent food & drink; & our rooms were clean & comfortable with a lovely view over the river, as hoped. It is about a 10 minute walk to the T stop at Quincy North, along a road that didn't feel great to use at night, but seemed safe during the day. 20 minutes walk down the road is a clutch of shops, restaurants, & 2 fair-sized supermarkets for any self-catering you want to do.
Only negatives really are a fairly old-fashioned decor (particularly the bathrooms, with teeny-tiny baths!), & obvious differences in the room sizes - we booked exactly the same room at both ends of our trip, but the first one we were given was twice the size of the second one!
So a good option in some ways, although there are a few things I wish I had known before staying. There are lots of places to eat close by, all walkable during the day, but at night, the area feels a less safe, & if you don't have a car you are rather stuck with only a few options very close by (Adams pub, Cathay Pacific, Applebees, Dominos). And although it was cheaper than staying in Boston, the prices still seemed astronomical for what was provided (it was more expensive than a Hyatt in DC!).
But still, a decent, cheaper option for a Boston visit if staying downtown is not important to you, & you don't need to be surrounded by restaurants & bars. less

Thank you for your review. We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed the restaurant as well as the hotel and its location. We do price ourselves according to our market and yes Boston and it's surrounding areas have seen increases in hotel rates over the last few years. We hope that you will choose to stay with us again.
