The hotel is in a convenient location just off Place de Clichy, which is on several metro and bus routes, with plenty of bars and restaurants on and around the square, and a supermarket right next door for any shopping needs. Pigalle and Montmartre are within a moderate walking distance.
The entrance and reception area are tiny, and slightly off-putting - but the hotel can't do anything about this, it's just the nature of the building. The lift is also tiny, but functional. There is no ground floor lounge, but a small first floor breakfast room (we did not try the breakfast), which also doubles as a luggage store after checkout.
The multi-lingual reception staff were pleasant and helpful on all occasions.
The bedrooms were a pleasant surprise, not large (typical Paris size) but very modern and smart, and air conditioned (essential on a hot summer weekend). The bathroom had also been modernised and had a small but efficient shower (not the dribble of traditional older Paris hotel plumbing).
A good option if you are in this area and need a reasonably priced and comfortable hotel. less
