Best Western properties are generally reliable, and this one is no different. It was secure, the staff was helpful and welcoming, they had dining options, a coffee stand, and even a bar. However, the property itself could use a little more attention. I am guessing that the last time the property went through a thorough renovation was awhile ago, mostly because there was a lot of wear and tear to the baseboards in my room, and the AC made a sound like plastic wrap on the busted-out window of a 1972 Pinto. It was incredibly noisy, and irregularly so. At times it seemed to get better, but then it would start in even louder. The room itself was designed in such an odd way that it should have come equipped with a nightlight. The bathroom counter jutted out into the room without a wall, and would have been easy to walk into in the dark and could cause significant bruising, should one run into it.
Breakfast (most of the time) at Best Westerns is complimentary, but this one was not. They gave me vouchers at the desk for a discounted price for breakfast. I did not look at the menu, nor did I eat at the restaurant, so I cannot review the food itself.
The hotel is for conventions and is a large, rambling property. The elevators are slow. All the external doors are opened with key cards, except for the main entrance, which complicates matters, but does provide additional security overnight.
With a little facelift, and perhaps some more perks for staying there (like free breakfast), I'd probably stay there again and take advantage of the pool, which is in a courtyard in the center of the hotel. Also, it *is* convenient to the airport, which is right across the street. If you don't mind some cosmetic problems (or noisy AC) then this is a solid property at which to stay. less
