This was the perfect place for visiting Washington DC. We were there on Labor Day so, contrary to what I expected, parking in DC was not a problem. With the added help of a handicap permit we got to see everything we wanted in one full day. I say this because we left a day earlier than planned and We never took advantage of the hotel shuttle. It is available to take you to restaurants or to the metro if you don't want to drive to DC. And we saw the shuttle there whenever we passed through the parking lot. We were told the driver is on call, just call the hotel and he will meet you.
As for the hotel, don't expect glamour or luxury. It is an old building and the breakfast area is in the basement with no windows or view to the outside. There is an area off the lobby to buy drinks and snacks and freezer in the corridor with quart size bags of ice. I found it humorous that it was labeled "ice machine". If you can look past this, the hotel is clean. The staff us very welcoming and ready to help with any advice you may need. And the rate is very good considering it is in the midst of a very nice residential area. less
