This is the worst place I've ever paid money to stay in - when I say this rates the worst our of places I've PAID to stay in, then yes, I am including a hostel, a refuge and 2 different "move on" houses (temporary accommodation). All the prior mentioned were 100 times cleaner than this cess pit.
The carpet is still manky, dirty and sticky as when I stayed here exactly ten years ago, so hasn't been cleaned let alone replaced. I'm fact, the first room wasn't even HOOVERED. As well as the huge vomit stain, bits of crap and gravel on the dirty sticky carpet, the doors were dirty. I mean, DIRTY. black grime, various splashes of God only knows what. Same goes for the skirtings. The bed was dirty and ikky. The room smelt. It was old and outraged. The curtains didn't fit the huge old window. The bathroom wasn't clean. The bathroom window was absolutely fifth.
I can deal with shoddy work. I can. It is far from ideal for a 3 star but it can be DEALT with. What CAN'T be dealt with, is staying in a room you don't want to take your shoes off in or touch ANYWHERE. It made me feel sick quite frankly. And the room o was moved too wasn't much better. The brand new shower didn't make up for the fact the bath had a stain around the rim, hairs in it and horrid stains around the plug. The sink and shelves were dirty. It got warm through the convector heater unlike the first room which was freezing cold in so much it was warmer outside.
DISGUSTING.
Nice reception staff. But sadly they don't make up for the disgusting grime. How the eff this got 3 stars will be a question that I'll always wonder ...! less
