Returning to Hampstead Theatre for the festive season, Poet Laureate Carol Anne Duffy's retelling of six European fairy tales, Beasts and Beauties is a family treat. Adapted by Tim Supple and director Melly Still, it promises some happy endings, but not always!
The tales include Bluebeard's Castlle, The Beaty and the Beast, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Juniper Tree and The Husband who was to Mind the House. Returning to the production are Jack Tarlton (as both the Beast and the Emperor), Kelly Williams, Jason Thorpe, Justin Avoth and Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty, now joined by Jake Harders and Michelle Bonnard.
Melly Still's previous hits for kids and families have included Coram Boy at the National Theatre and Grimm Tales at the Young Vic.
