Bath is having a laugh this April, with a comedy festival starting on April Fool's Day. The annual festival brings the cream of stand-up comedians, street theatre and mime performers, plays, caricatures and more to venues around the historical city.
With this year's programme including fixtures like the Bizarre Bath Comedy Walk and the suggestively titled Jane Austen's Bath Time, the Bath Comedy Festival has a funny way of presenting comedy.
Other highlights of this year's festival include shows from Scott Capurro and Dan Clark, while a number of events also welcome children.
With numerous venues hosting the eclectic array of performers that descend on Bath, it's a particularly good time to let your hair down in this often upper-class city.
