All year round
Belfast Exposed is the city's only dedicated contemporary photography gallery. Located in the Cathedral Quarter, its emphasis is on new work and commissions.
Opened in 1983 as a community initiative, the gallery has an extensive archive of local work covering political activisits, civil disturbance and demonstrations. It focuses on socially and politically engaged work and has an active outreach programme, backed up by a series of screenings and talks and the provision of photographic facilities and training.
Courses cover everything from the basics of using your camera to taking studio portraits and digital black-and-white shots, as well as downloading them to Photoshop. For more information on upcoming courses, please see the gallery website.
