The Competition – Official Terms and Conditions
1. The competition is open to individuals or groups of individuals who performed at any of the Britain’s Got Personality roadshows in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester, excluding anyone materially connected to the administration of the competition.
2. Promoter of the competition is Best Western Hotels
3. Entrants will be filmed at Best Western Britain’s Got Personality events and this footage will be uploaded onto the http://www.bestwestern.co.uk/hotelswithpersonality website as their entry into the competition. When uploading other footage of their performances, entrants must only upload videos that they made or that they are authorized to use but these will not be included in the competition. This means that entrants must not upload videos they didn’t make, or use content in their videos to which someone else owns the copyright, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programmes or videos made by other users, without requisite authorizations
4. All tracks and videos submitted are subject to moderation. The Promoter has the absolute discretion to upload or not upload any video and to remove any video already uploaded without giving reasons for the decision. The Promoter shall in particular refuse to upload any video for the following reasons:
o Defamatory or malicious content
o Dangerous content
o Inclusion of content in songs or videos to which someone else owns the copyright, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programmes or videos made by other users, without the requisite authorisations
o Breach of these terms and conditions or the YouTube terms and conditions
5. Prize is an introduction with a national talent agency and a luxury weekend away in a Best Western Hotel. No cash alternative will be available and the prize is non transferable. The talent agency reserve the right to terminate the relationship at any time. The 3 regional winners will get a weekend away in a Best Western Hotel. If the winner is under 16 the prize is subject to the approval of their parent or guardian who gave them permission to enter in the first place.
6. Only one entry per person will be used in the competition. Best Western will retain ownership to the footage filmed at events and by entering the competition each entrant grants Best Western, and other Best Western entities globally, a royalty free licence to use the footage, or any part of it, themselves in any manner and without further approval or consideration including financial reimbursement without limitation
7. Best Western reserve the right to disqualify entrants suspected of being involved in cheating or any attempt to unfairly manipulate the results by any means (ie automatic of multiple voting)
8. The prize will be awarded to the entrant who receives most ‘likes’ votes on the Hotels with Personality site. In the event of a tie, all tied entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Best Western who will determine at their sole discretion the best entry
9. For the regional competition, voting will close on 6th September and counting of the “likes” votes will take place by 7th September. Any judging due to a tied number of “likes” votes will take place on same day and will be supervised by an independent observer
10. Voters must register online to begin voting. Only one “likes” per person per video will be counted on each day of the competition
11. The regional winners will be notified via email by 7th September. For the national competition, counting of the “likes” votes will take place by 14th September. Any judging due to a tied number of “likes” votes will take place on the same day and will be supervised by an independent observer. The winner will be notified by 14th September.
13. The winner will receive full notification of their prize by 30th September. If a winner cannot be contacted within 30 days, they will forfeit their prize.
15. The name and county of the winners and the names of the judges will be available to anyone sending a stamped addressed envelope to Mikhaila Brentnall, Best Western, Consort House, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York, North Yorkshire, YO30 4GP within 28 days after the published closing date. No other correspondence will be entered into.
16. Best Western reserves the right to publish the name, photographs, and county of the winners or to publicize the prize-giving presentation after the date of the competition
17. The winner must make themselves available to take part in PR activity following their announcement
18. All entrants to the competition will be deemed to have accepted the rules and terms and conditions
19. The competition may be promoted in other online promotions and in the press before the closing date
20. Any personal information provided by the Entrants will only be used for the purposes of the competition or as otherwise set out in these terms and conditions
21. These terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English Courts. If any provision of these terms is invalid under the law of a particular country, it will only apply to the extent permitted
22. Best Western reserves the right to alter the stated competition dates

Voting Prize Draw
Every registered user will be entered into a prize draw to win a weekend away at a Best Western hotel in the UK
The prize consists of two nights accommodation, breakfast and dinner (exclusing London) for two people sharing a twin or double room at a Best Western hotel of their choice. Winners under 18 must be accompanied by an adult when staying. No cash alternative will be available and the prize is non transferable
Winners must book and stay before 30 December 2010. Prizes must be booked through Best Western Central Reservations on 08717 708707 with a unique booking code provided for the winner
All bookings are subject to Best Western Central Reservations’ promotional room availability. [NB This may differ from room availability for bookings made direct with the hotel.]. Bookings are not available over the Christmas and Bank Holiday periods
All additional spend (such as bar bills and newspapers) must be paid in full prior to departure
Bookings are not valid over Half Term, Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s, Easter and bank holidays
Travel to and from the hotel is not included
Any tax liability arising from the prize is the winner’s responsibility
