The award-winning House of Manannan in Peel tells the story of the Isle of Man from the Vikings to the present day. A variety of exhibits are housed in a vast complex formed partly from the old Peel Railway Station.
The Victorian Grand Union Camera Obscura on Douglas Head gives visitors the opportunity to experience a sometimes disorientating 360-degree view of the harbour, bay, lighthouse and horizon. It was built with 12 lenses that project onto shelves set into alcoves.

Located in Castletown, Castle Rushen is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval castles, complete with dungeons and clock tower. Inside, displays illustrate different periods of the island's history and include 17th-century-style furnishings and wall hangings.

The Erin Arts Centre on the Isle of Man hosts performers from across the world during the annual Mananan International Festival in the summer. Past performers include Nigel Kennedy, Paco Peña, Tasmin Little, Emma Johnson and Julius Drake.
