Kasi Shanmugasundarathevar is a South Indian Born Chef who studied catering in India and gained valuable experience in all areas of the industry by working with a range of small hotels to major hotel groups like the Taj group of Hotels in India. He is also a well traveled Chef as had a passion for working on the Cruise Liners where he earned enormous experience in Continental Cuisine and Reputation in his working field. He has won several medals from competitions back home and also on the Cruise Liner. He is very creative and has a fantastic talent where carving is concerned; he can carve any thing for a small piece of fruit to a large sheet of foam into anything that may be desired.In November 2008, he led the Jali, Fine Indian Dining Restaurant Team to become the world record holders for the Static and Movable Poppodum Tower. The records stand at 282 Poppadums for the Static Tower and 230 Poppadums for the Movable Tower.Kasi joined the Best Western Carlton Hotel family in June 2005. He is a valued and respected Head Chef with great Team Leading Skills, and is an asset to our Organization. His Goal as he looks into the future is to train and bring good quality Chefs into the Industry
