Turner at Tate Britain

To mark the return of several key works from an international tour, the world's greatest collection of works by JMW Turner is presented at the Tate Britain.

Turner is considered to be one of the greatest painters Britain has ever produced, and his bequest to the nation is made up of hundreds of oils and tens and thousands of watercolours and other works on paper. The Clore galleries at Tate Britain are the home of this extraordinary collection and thus the world centre for the study and appreciation of Turner's life and work.

This exhibition highlights Turner's amazing range of subject matter and styles, with masterpieces back on display along with a wide range of personal items, unfinished works and works on paper. Ten new displays - featuring over 200 works - explore diverse themes such as tourism, myth and landscape. There's also an introductory display with an overview of the artist's life and work.
