Halloween Tours

Historic Lancaster Castle invites children of all ages to dress up in their spookiest costumes for special Halloween Tours of the grounds. Adults needn't feel left out - there are special tours for grown-ups later on too.

The organisers of the event emphasise the true origin of Halloween as a festival of light and fire, with pumpkins designed to ward off evil spirits.

A guided tour informs visitors of Halloween's true history and allows kids to get dressed up in their most ghastly outfits. Prizes are awarded for the scariest costume. The night ends with adult-only tours. Booking in advance is highly advisable.
