Hotels near the Baja Beach Club

Despite being located across the Tyne Bridge, the Baja Beach Club draws a determined crowd almost every night of the week. Especially popular with students (they get in free on Tuesdays), the emphasis is on good old-fashioned fun. The music policy is simple - non-stop party tunes every night, six nights a week from the Fifties through to today.

If you need reassuring, Baja recently won the Discotheque of the Year award for the North of England at the National Beda Nightclub awards in Birmingham and they also hold the title of Best Themed Nightclub for the whole of the UK as awarded by Disco International.

The Beach Club is basically an American idea taken a step further. The first Baja Beach clubs opened in the USA over 10 years ago and slowly filtered into Europe. There are currently Bajas in different parts of the States, Barcelona and Rotterdam. Quayside's Club holds over 1700 people and as you can imagine, it is set around a beach theme, with two open floors, six bars and a VIP lounge.
