yogahome

Whether it's integral, iyengar, hatha fusion or ashtanga, any type of yoga can help to build a strong flexible body and a calm focused mind. yogahome, Stoke Newington's oasis of calm, offers the lot - as well as plenty of alternative therapies, which are available daily.

Despite its cute moniker, yogahome is a little more than just a home for yoga. This oasis in Stoke Newington also offers a veritable range of alternative therapies (acupuncture, shiatsu and hypnotherapy to name a few) for those who'd rather not do any work of their own. Cleverly constructed from blonde wood, plants and natural light, the whole set-up is conducive to peace, calm and general holistic niceness.

The gamut of yoga to choose from is very healthy for any London yoga centre: ashtanga, iyengar and hatha types are on offer, as well as the lesser known integral and pregnancy types. There's also meditation and pranayama (classical yoga breathing) classes to tap into, for those who want to take their yoga further than the rest. Dance classes have also been added to the expanding roster.

Courses tend to get booked up early, so get on the case if you're prepared to commit. Otherwise, you can taste what's on offer by dropping into a class - the timetable can be found on the centre's website.
