The College of Psychic Studies
The College of Psychic Studies has ceaselessly devoted itself to esoteric thought for over a century and is the place to head if you fancy challenging your, or other, beliefs. Visit for one of their lectures or workshops and you could be looking at the world in a very different way.
Back in 1883, when there were many more sceptical types, the London Spiritualist Alliance was formed. The term "spiritualist" was then used in its broadest sense as a belief in the survival of death, and the interest was focused on speaking to the Other Side. By 1925 it had enough funds to acquire its home, in fashionable South Kensington.
Fast forward to the new millennium and this grand looking house still keeps very busy pushing the boundaries of "regular" ideas a lot further. There's very little in the "alternative" or "spiritual" field that isn't explored in the huge menu of lectures, workshops, courses and other activities offered to the public. The interests of the founders has expanded enormously: from alternative therapies to angels, psychic powers to animal healing - the list is pretty much endless. You can even study some of these subjects at home (with the help of their extensive library), or just use the meditation room to ignore everything entirely.
