Cranleigh Bonfire and Firework Display
Thousands of people carry flaming torches in an evening procession to the Cranleigh bonfire site in Surrey, where the Cranleigh Lions organise the fireworks that fill the night sky.
Families gather in Stocklund Square in the afternoon for the children's Guys to be judged. The winning Guy leads the procession, starting in Ewhurst Rd then proceeding up the High St to end at the Common, where the bonfire has been built. To accompany the fireworks, bands play in Stocklund Square.
With streets closed between 6.15pm & 10pm kids are safe to run around safely, while you can buy a torch on the night and join the procession, proceeds going to local charities. Throughout the night, there are spit roasts and hot soup on offer, as well as an outdoor bar.
